A Note From Your Friends at Triangle!

Hi Joe, Jan and Gustavo,

Thank you for doing the remarkable – I can’t even imagine competing in a triathlon! – to support Triangle in 2011. We are humbled and thrilled that our friends all the way out California have decided to train, race, and fundraise for our organization here in Boston, Massachusetts.

For 40 years Triangle has provided the support, challenge and opportunity people with disabilities need to achieve their personal and career goals. As you might have guessed by my emphasis, Triangle is distinguished by our commitment to challenging each other to identify our abilities, address unexpected obstacles, and relentlessly pursue our dreams.

Every time you accept the challenge of the triathlon by hitting the road, diving into the pool and running one extra mile, you are not only raising support for Triangle but also bearing witness to the spirit of our community.

Good luck with your training! When the going gets tough remember that our entire community is cheering for you and every step, stroke or push of the pedal is empowering over 3,300 individuals with disabilities. We’re pulling for you every step of the way!

Always for Ability,

Jeff Gentry

GUSTAVO BEYER IS DOING THE RUNNING PART OF THE TRIATHLON

I have been working full-time at Clarks since November 2010.
I have earned my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management from SJSU, as of May 2010. I am looking forward to pursuing my Master's Degree at San Jose State University beginning Fall 2011. I play the guitar, play basketball and run on my spare time. Working at Clarks is one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have never witnessed such a dynamic team work together, and I am proud to be a part of this team. In this short amount of time that I have been working here, I have seen the passion and determination of everyone in the store to raise as much money as they can for the Triangle Foundation. Triangle has helped thousands of people with disabilities, in finding jobs and getting an education through their work program. It gave me the awareness that people with disabilities should have exceptional services, education and advocacy available so as to have the opportunity to live, learn, work and live a rich, fulfilling life
I am very thrilled and excited to be a part of this upcoming triathlon fundraiser for Triangle! I want to continue to create awareness and help raise money for this amazing cause.
I hope that you will continue to support my team as we are training hard for this fundraiser. Through supporting us, you will also be supporting the Triangle foundation!

Thanks.

Gustavo Beyer

TRIANGLE IN 3 MINUTES

I had the privilege of touring the Triangle headquarters in Malden, MA back in May 2009. It is home to a fulfillment center, and various programs like Ablevision, School to Career, Triangle Café, IMPACT, etc. I remember walking through the headquarters in amazement seeing the various programs in action: people preparing food in the cafe, the quick working hands in the fulfillment center, the coaching that was going on in the School to Career room. It's great to see that an organization like Triangle exist to give "people with ability" the resources that they need so that they can achieve as much as they would want to achieve. That tour was so inspiring that it helped shape my current direction in life.

"Triangle in 3 minutes" is a great video that summarizes how Triangle help change people's lives. No, it's not the same thing as seeing it firsthand, but it sure evokes the same emotions I felt during that eye opening experience at Triangle in May of 2009.

Please watch the short video below and know more about Triangle's programs and the people they serve.

CREATING AWARENESS AND RAISING MONEY FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES

It's the beginning of the year and some good folks from Clarks at Valley Fair in Santa Clara, California decided that it would be cool to start the year by planning to do some good in 2011. They have volunteered to put their bodies to the test by challenging their physical abilities. They formed a Triathlon relay team to create awareness and raise money for Triangle Inc.(www.triangle-inc.org)- a charity that helps empower people with disabilities and their families to enjoy rich, fulfilling lives. They plan to complete the Morgan Hill Triathlon on May 15, 2011 for this worthy cause.

Stay tuned!!! We will be unveiling the members of the team shortly.
